How to Lift & Set a 20′ Post with an Excavator

This example shows Muvalift Max on a 36″ cleanup bucket. The Muvalift mount arms are installed in a wide position to fit onto the shoulders of the excavator bucket.

Configure the Muvalift in the vertical goal post configuration as in accordance with the Muvalift instruction manual.

Load the beam or post onto the Muvalift Max, being sure to center the weight of the beam for safety and to leave enough of the post hanging off the front to set it in the hole if applicable. With the Muvalift Max, the beam can be loaded conveniently from the ground or from the rack of a truck as shown below.

Securely fasten the beam to the Muvalift body with a strap such as shown below to ensure the post does not shift or slide.

Lift and level the excavator bucket so that the beam is supported and ready for transport as shown below, being sure the post has first been secured to the Muvalift.

When you are ready to position the post into its final position, lift the excavator bucket as you tilt it to orient the beam towards the ground and lower it into position.
